Launched in July 2017, Berkshire Nonprofit Connections magazine is the first magazine dedicated exclusively to the Berkshire nonprofit sector. Published twice annually, each issue focuses on a theme. Issue 1 focused on the health and human services, Issue 2 on food and food insecurity, Issue 3 the role of young people in the nonprofit sector and issue 4 on leadership.
In January 2019 the magazine evolved from a glossy color magazine to a 20-page black and white trade publication with more practical content. It is mailed free to 300+ NPC members and 501c3 nonprofits thanks to local business sponsors. It is also available to read online. Single copies can be purchased for $14.95 online ($6.95 for nonprofits) or at the NPC office.
Connections Magazine is a very targeted trade publication mailed free to approximately 350 nonprofits with the financial support of our sponsors. An additional 150 copies are distributed in popular coffee shops and other gathering spots. Each issue requires three (3) sponsors at $500 each. This underwrites our production costs including design, printing, distribution and postage.
Sponsors receive a full-page advertisement (8.5 x 11) OR the option of providing a 500-word article that would be of interest to nonprofits or in keeping with the thematic focus of the issue.
