Description: In this lively five-hour training, you will learn tips and tricks for taming your nerves in donor conversations and practice how to reach out to your donors to more fully engage them in the life of your organization. The Asking Without Anxiety training is designed to support you in gaining confidence, being more prepared, and feeling less anxious in donor conversations. You will learn how to build relationships with donors in meaningful ways by developing your authentic curiosity and “fundraising listening skills” to help match your mission with your donors’ philanthropic goals. As part of your training, you will practice making a donor ask in a small supportive group. This is an interactive session. Come ready to engage!

About Jenn Hayslett:

Jenn Hayslett brings 30 years of leadership experience as a successful fundraiser, manager, facilitator and trainer to her work as an executive coach and nonprofit consultant. Her specialty is in building and improving relationship-based fundraising programs. Jenn has direct experience in all areas of fundraising and marketing for small to mid-sized nonprofits including major gift solicitation and stewardship, capital campaigns, annual funds, grant writing, community organizing, and volunteer management.
Jenn specializes in partnering with Boards, Executive Directors, Development Directors, and other nonprofit staff members to develop clear goals and design action plans to achieve them. Jenn’s engaging presentation style makes her a highly-rated trainer and presenter. She is the lead trainer and creator of the Fundraising Certificate program, an intensive fundraising training through Philanthropy Massachusetts and Common Good Vermont.
