A FIRST-OF-ITS-KIND SALARY SURVEY FOR BERKSHIRE NONPROFITS

 

The Nonprofit Center of the Berkshires released the results of its Berkshire Nonprofit Salary & Benefits Survey on February 1, 2022. The survey was conducted by Nash Insights in Pittsfield and underwritten by Greylock Federal Credit Union and Guardian Life Insurance Company. 87 responding nonprofits represent a healthy percentage of the county’s 400 nonprofits that file IRS Form 990 annually.

 

The 44-page report includes an overview of the methodology, tools and resources for benchmarking, and comprehensive salary and benefit data across a range of over 50 positions and descriptors such as organizational budget, number of employees and demographics.  Positions include senior management as well as Human Services, Development, Marketing, Administration, Financial, Program, Creative, IT, and Facilities. There is also information on independent contractors, minimum wage, and salary increases. Benefits data includes health insurance, paid time off, disability and long-term care plans, retirement, life insurance and other benefits.
