If you’ve thought about volunteering your time & expertise by serving on the board of a local nonprofit organization, but don’t have much (or any) experience, then this training is for YOU! Learn all about the Berkshire nonprofit sector, the role of the board, expectations, & how you can make a difference. We’ll cover the legal & financial responsibilities of the board, as well as board meeting structure, fundraising, best practices & more.

 

MATERIALS: In addition to a “Board Binder” full of reference materials, all participants will receive a free copy of Giving Back: Your Guide to Charitable Opportunities in the Berkshires, published by the NPC Berkshires.
