Berkshire nonprofits desire more shared services as a matter of practicality. Whether to save money, find new resources, or build capacity, we all want cost efficiencies so we can spend more on our missions. There are many things that can be shared such as equipment, staff, purchasing, bookkeeping and software. And there are several models to consider.
Nonprofit leaders are invited to advance the conversation about the opportunities and challenges in realizing a structure for sharing services in Berkshire County. We’ll summarize our research and recent survey results, break out into groups to discuss infrastructure models, and decide on next steps to achieving a pilot program before year-end.
